Hall of Excellence
Inductees into the Hall of Excellence have demonstrated consistent and outstanding results at the highest levels of competition in Masters Swimming. Although their records speak for themselves, we honour swimmers who:
Have excelled in a minimum of three age groups
Have solid performances at the National and International levels
Are regular participants in competition
Demonstrate good sportsmanship
Jaring Timmerman, 101 Manitoba, ASSI 2009
Jarring is currently the oldest registered masters swimmer in Canada. Jaring held 23 national records at the end of 2009, 7 in 85-89, 4 in 90-94, 8 in 95-99, and four in 100-104. Jaring set three world records in the 2009 provincial championships and then went on to set another three at nationals.
On January 24 2014 at the Catherine Kerr Pentathlon in age group 105 - 109 he added 2 more world records to his collection.
